the meecrafty board

Well, its finally done - shaping by Dave (Meecrafty), foam dust sweeping by me, glassing by Mike at Byrd surfboards, artwork by me, Posca pens via my new friend Brennan in Japan. With the exception of the glassing, an overall Swaylocks effort.

Ok my photos didn’t attach. Let me try again.

patiently waiting…

I appreciate your patience. Any idea on how to reduce the JPG file size down to 100kb so I can post them?

you need a photo editor… photoshop or something like that you can use to save them as either smaller size or lesser resolution.

if they’re not too huge, email them to me and I’ll shrink 'em for ya. But I’m on the way to the gym right now… will check in about an hour and twenty and if you still need a hand I’ll get them reduced for ya.

E-mail 'em to me directly ASAP and I’ll see what I can do…

I usually export them from whatever photo program I’m using to my desktop prior to posting, and when you do there should be an option to resize them.

one more try and then i’m emailing them to john

Thankyou John for relieving me of my frustration.

Did I mention that I’m a crappy photographer?

I’ll try to post some better shots along with the dimensions when I get back from Bali. Sounds like it might get big while I’m over there - I think I’ll be glad I have this 7’0. Hopefully we both survive the experience.

nice!!!

cool color and art, nice lines, very clean!

Enjoy!

dude im shocked!

is that your own octopus?

I hope that board comes back in one piece!

Have fun…im off to vermont for a week.

Dave

Dave - I was just about to PM you to take a look for this thread. Came out pretty cool huh? Yeah, the octopus is mine, although I’d have to credit Drew Brophy for a great deal of influence - 15 years of corporate life have frankly sapped my artistic creativity. Its strange - I am one of the least corporate types that I know (at least of the guys that work for big companies) but whereas I used to have ideas for projects banging around in my head all the time, now I sit in front of a canvas (or a surfboard) and draw a great big blank. I think that’s one of the reasons why surfing has probably become more important to me as I’m getting older - its that one mental outlet where everything else kind of goes away.

Have a good time in Vermont.

really nice lines id love it to be mine

wow Jeff, that’s awesome! very talented indeed. …how are the waves?!

Nice curves meecrafty!

…if you need anything my brother is near brattleboro for the summer… keene actually but not too far, wicked.

have fun everyone,

Brennan
