Yet another reason to use epoxy.
Sorry to hear about your mishap. I work for a large Chemical company and am required to wear safety glasses all day long. I often short cut the safety gear at home. After reading your thread I will be wearing safety glasses no matter what when I glass or sand.

Well now my eyesight is no longer blurry and back to normal. The only thing left is where the catalyst reacted with my sweat/open pore? there are a few burn marks. Catalyst is some scary stuff.

Protect yourself at all times, and then plan for disasters anyway.
OOOOOOOOHHHH Nasty! Try counting to ten and holding your breath a bit. Seriously that sounds grim and scary aswell as painful.
Just had a look at your site, stunning stuff there, particularly like the skull board, nice art work.

I had a similar experience but with Epoxy dust.
I went to blow out the dust from a fin box and it came straight back in my eyes, past my glasses I was wearing. I jumped into the pool and flushed for ages, couldn’t see for a while.
Felt like a real git…
cheers

great to hear you’re back to normal. Take it carefully though eh ? I’d hate to see such a fine colour job artist not be able to see his next ‘canvas’ / blank .

Glad to hear your better now. Seems like that was one hell of a close call. Like others have said, it’d be a shame for an artist like yourself to lose his most valuable tool. Be careful from now on.
