the new 'made in china'

ok here it is,we start with the copyright on

“made in china”

get it ?

we start ripping off the chinese

by making stuff you would expect to be american made.

not chinese stuff

but amreican stoff!

is this not grand plan?

surf board with tooth paste logos

boggie boards with stencil of political heads

leashs in odd lengths

this way when all the import affectionados

reach for the box marked chinese…

they will be trapped.

oh yeah make it cheap.

and if it breaks? so what

made in china…

…ambrose…

Good idea. How about if we start a new town called ‘Tawain’. Then we could make all the stuff there and fool all the blue crushers?

Howzit Brose, Did you see the front page story in the Advertiser a couple of weeks back where the chinese say we need to learn their language. Is that a statement or what.Aloha,Kokua

What was funny is a friend of mine said in Japan they’ve stopped teaching english and started with Chinese. I don’t know if this is for real, but if its true . . .

But one thing I believe is our schools should teach another language each year from k-12 (the same language for 12 years).

The Soviet Union failed because its economy couldn’t fuel its desire . . . Plus there were many other issues, but that is another story . . .

Imagine another communist nation but with a capitalistic economy? No way they’ll go broke like the Soviets did . . .and they’re much better at copying than Soviets were . …

But I think China will switch over to a democracy. They can stop the Internet, but they can’t stop hackers. They can martyr missionaries, but can’t hide the Truth. They can break their people, but never their wills. Their people will demand US style freedoms and their government will have to change.

In any case we’re looking a future world power.

Yeah… one day they’ll be a complete democracy… or follow the suit of Hong Kong… today I got to witness one of those shitty chink boards first hand. Said zeepoxy or something on it and the shop had a bunch… owner leaves one outside and i told him that probobly wont help the epoxy much but he said he didnt give a shit becuase it was dirt cheap anyway.

Wat wrong wif all u white baking powder , can’t take challenge from others ???

I used to have a few boards that made in China , ended up i sell them away after a month or two . They are NO WHERE near wat ur finest craftsmen skill .

When u used the word “Chinese” u offended me . I’m a Malaysian chinese .

People from China they are called “china man” .

Taiwan = Taiwanese .

Thailand = Thai Chinese.

Indonesia = Indo Chinese .

U.S = ABC (America born Chinese)

Apologize if i were rude on the last comment i’ve made .

Hey AnDi,

People from China are called Chinese. Calling them “China men” is a derogatory term and is very offensive.

Rio

uhhhh…moderators?

This is the classic white man’s belief that the world revolves around and belongs to them more so in the US than anywhere else and the reason why the majority of the rest of the world despises us yes U.S. as the devil incarnate.

As I watch “kingdom of heaven” tonight this kind of talk and thinking is no worse than the european templers(?) riding off into the desert to battle and die against the muslins…

Funny as you peel back the skin and get into the white meat of an onion the stink of prejudice starts to show itself again…

The chinese and other “third world” entities invented alot of things before the concept of a “United States” could even be conceived.

It ironic that at the same time we rattle against surfspot localism in other posts we pound our chest for imperialism and nationalism.

This isn’t a real good reason to come to this site and would make me think twice about it if I thought I was conversing with a bunch of redneck flag waving stomp on the yellowman whitehooded surf freaks. I loath everyday in and out of the water.

This isn’t surfing and should not be sways… but if it mistakenly is then perhaps I’ve unknowingly ventured into somewhere I choose not to be.

BOTTOMLINE LINE:

JUST MAKE YOUR OWN STUFF USING GREG’S RESIN AND SHOW OTHERS HOW EASY IT IS TO MAKE THERE OWN LIKE WE DO HERE ON SWAYS. IF EVERYONE HERE GOT 10 OTHERS TO START AND THEY GOT ANOTHER 10 YOU’D BE SURPRISED HOW FAST THINGS WOULD CHANGE. ALSO RICHLY REWARD YOUR BOARD BUILDER FOR ALL THE HARD WORK THEY PUT INTO IT. ALWAYS TRY TO PAY MORE THAN EXPECTED WHEN DEALING DIRECTLY WITH THE SMALL BUSINESS MAN. THOSE TWO THINGS WILL CHANGE THE WORLD MORE THAN ANYTHING ELSE.

  1. cents and out.

Funny in that I was putting togethor some holiday “aloha” packages for some swayers when I read this… Makes me think twice now…

im with you on that Oneula

its not the fact the the boards are made in china thats a problem really.

its more that our own small little local economies in New Zealand cant really cope

manufacturing on a small scale is alomost immpossible

and retailing as well.

I kinda regard regard china the same way i regard the states

and am naturally suspicious of any thing American

swaylocks not included

i dont want to hear any rascism on this site

or redneck biggotry

thats not what its about

Bob Marley, you’ve gotta be kidding.

If that’s how you feel, check yourself.

Boyoboyoboyoboy. The smaller the world gets, the smaller some people become.

325… mini log like 7 somethingish… red rails and clear center

Benny, what do you mean? I guess the word chink may be offending I probobly should rephrase that… I didnt mean it in a bad way… just short for chinese to me, I dont mean it in an offending way at all. I have nothing against asian people…

I consider myself a global citizen, born in the US, third generation, of Japanese ancestry, lived 7 years in Italy and 3 in Africa. All the time spent overseas taught me to be careful of our myopic, nationalistic and often arrogant perspectives. You can criticize China about not playing fair but remember our US economy got the headstart it has by using over 200 years of slave labor and indentured servitude. My folks in the Hawaiian plantation fields didn’t have the best labor protection from the US government. It’s really sad to listen to Americans complain about unfair labor practices. You should see how the (American ) multinational mining companies in Africa treat their workers. It’s a new world all over again. We should really stopo thinking in nationalistic terms and think in global terms. In that case China is not them. It’s us.
