Just finished shaping/hacking out a supercharged Predator(like my 6-1 in the photo archives,the 2nd Predator). This is my 13th Predator to date.
It’s a bit longer 6-4 and it’s eps…yes I spackled the piece…and I might paint it.It should float like a bandit,but I hate shaping eps,it just never fine tunes out like pu.
This was one of several blanks given to me by Dave Heddy(I gave a few away to the sways bunch at the 2nd gathering,including Mike Jones who I haven’t heard from in awhile)…It came out very good++ but for me… it’s got to be in the fine to excellent range to make me happy.
We will see after glassing…I don’t have any RR but got some eck stuff from Dow that was given to me… so the board in materials is pretty much free(less the cussing out about eps/epoxy stuff)…so I can’t complain about the price…probably poly coat it just to piss-off my neighbors.And,of course box it w/ Red-X BOXES using 5200 quick set.
Oh yeah
…I had to pay for the spackle…and the 5200. …LOL !!!
At any rate …I’ll keep you up to date on this Spackle Chief-King Predator.

Painted last night before I went to work…used Rusty’s favorite colors…lol

Fixed it…paint came out even better than the original…I’m amazed how straight I got it…it does have a bit of dippsy-doodle-itis but that’s under a very discriminating lighting system…when it’s completely done and it the light of day it won’t even show…what a load of work though…felt like I built 6 boards…well okay,okay,okay, maybe not that many…but two foresure.
…this should be a lesson to you kiddies…
…Think things thru,don’t rush it,and be prepared.

It’s done…took it over to the local pool…in fresh water it floats like a 8-9 footer.When paddling it around it was like all this float was contained by the boards wt.
Surfin’ it tomorrow unless it’s real sh#tty…took the film into the one hour photo job…here…Robin Williams was interested in everyone in my pictures???..should post them soon.

…maybe on your NEXT board , do a painting of HIM . THAT should stop him in his tracks , as then he will have to take an interest in HIMSELF …
