This was from the blank I won a couple years ago. The nose is on a shelf… forgot to put it in the picture.
The tail close up is for Tim “Surf for fins,” and the rest of the crew who put up with me…

to the casual observer
it doesn’t look hand shaped
machine shaped
like with a large vehicle
at a low sppeeed.

how did you snap it [not reversing out of the driveway over it , on the way to your first ever surf on it, i hope??]

did it [if not reversed over?] get you some good waves ??
what fin setup[s] did you like the best ??

....i wonder whatever happened to hicksy's "Auslocks" board [ the 'around-australia' board he made , and i supplied some fins for] ? i wonder if he ever got it back here in perth , and if so if he has surfed it at all ? [it's been a few years since it left perth , i'm thinking ....

have a few wonders about ol hickster... and that board building kit I had shipped to him last year to make a swayboard...

I’ll write more about the fins - I was, and could be, a good fun quad, but I’m almost always on to the “new” thing.
It was legitimately snapped on a nice head high thick round suck off rock reef… I got sucked up the face - shouldn’t a been riding it with the fins set up as the were (More later), and the board shot out and the lip did the rest…
Thanks for trying to post the shot Ray, or at least I should day, I didn’t see it. I’m awaiting a pretty good one, I hope…

i noticed the other day that grant hicks ['hicksy'] is , in fact , on facebook . perhaps that's become his new 'forum' for the last year or so .[ there was a photo there of a boat ....]
anyway , dave , i hope you come to perth one day , so i can at least give you the stub I made , in lieu of the lost cause which may or may not still be languishing somewhere in the depths of hicksy's shed
