they are boards , made by sways guys , that travel around and hopefully get to be surfed by various sways people in the same country [like the 'single fin yellow' movie concept , only not quite so far afield]...

Ambrose’s board certainly made it to Oz - I had a couple of surf’s on it (probbaly some of my last stand up surfs). I think one of the travel board thread’s contained photos of Steve surfing it. I left a message for Steve today.
The problem with the board being here in Oz is getting it to somewhere else closer to home - anyone from the US visiting Oz east coast?

the book has gone into the second volume i think.
the companion book is a recollection of surf
experiences with the board,
perhaps the most potentially enduring
aspect of the experiment.
The board returned to kauai
for an extensive repair
after damage in santa cruz.
the condition was good when it left for oz
and I believe it is still in quite serviceable condition.
be sure to get the book.
I dream -go to grab it and surf
but the current state of
personal economics doesn’t
put me international soon.
to get it to Guethary
would be a fine leap.
altho where the cosmic
thread will lead the soul
of the swaylox experience
invested in this lil’ board
is a constant facination.
as a rule -ten years ahead of time-

custody of the trevel board
in 2004 at plaskett creek
and has been responsible
for gathering it up more than once.
matt in ventura had it for a long time,
but I think it has been in lennox longer
than at matt’s house in Ventura.
