A little out of the box maybe, but I have used this template for symmetrically foiled rail fins of epoxy that were competely ridgid though foiled very thin. I surfed them with a small neutral stabilizing fin shaped like the dorsal of a dolphin in the center and found that the board was extremely free from rail to rail, that straight line speed felt at it’s maxium for the board and that it allowed me you feel what the board itself was doing as well anything I’ve ever tried. One might call it the the ultimate neutral fin setup because there was very little fin drive. The board provided that. I’ve had some epic sessions with the set-up I’ll post a photo (Liddle rails, Orca center) in the reasources for the sake of discussion. Mahalo, Rich

As far as I understand they’re almost identical. Pure speculation: there may be a slight difference in the foil. I’m sticking with the 9" Stage 4s for these boards. Not a whole lot of tail rocker. 1" to 2" on a 7 foot board. If there is too much tail lift, the narrow nature of the fin starts to slide out on turns. If everything is tuned correctly, it’ll rip.
