They're not for everyone - why dont you like Fish!?!

I forgot to mention… this is for chipfish… This board works great as a twin. I’ve currently set it up with a trailer for winter at the beach in San Francisco. I don’t have that many fins for a twin, so I’ve been fairly limited in trying different setups. I’ve also surfed it as a thruster… to stiff. I also tried it in Costa Rica with Vector 3/2s and a hatchet center fin… waayyy too stiff. It went straight like a mo-fo, but didn’t turn at all.

I’ll be getting some more foils from Futures soon. I’ll let you know how it goes.

thanks for that Kendall !

what are the widths of that , and the rocker , please ?

[only me , but…] it seems a bit of a pity that it doesn’t have a big bahne back fin box , as I’d like to ride it as a single fin , too ! [still , you can always put one in , I guess , if the urge ever hits you !]

cheers

p.s. - actually , speaking of PHOTOS …

I see you are labelled as an “enthusiast” . Have you clicked on THAT little link , lately ? [good stuff !]

Yikes! Hahaha.

I’ll get back to you with dims. I’m wondering what it will do with some modern small keels. The thing I like about this board is how skatey it feels. I’m afraid a single may negate that. It looses its feel with thrusters… and the Vectors w/ hatchet was godawful… it tracked straight, but refused to turn.

Hey, thanks for the pics. Beautiful. Can I guy own too many boards? I mean aside from wives and girl friends, is that even possible?

Now I know what an S rail is. (but can’t shape it). thx for that.

I’m not the one to ask ask. I’ve collected too much of everything in the past. Over the last few years I’ve toned down my “more is more” attitude… divorce helped with that. Now I mostly just obsess with surfboards and guitars. You can never have too many of those. I use my stuff though. I’m about function, not wall hangers… except maybe those Reno boards from my other thread… and maybe a balsa Brewer or two… and a Velzy… and a…

My girlfriend surfs - along with a lot of other stuff I like - so I’ve stopped looking at other girls.

…it might be fun as a bonzer3 setup , with the back fin forward in a good sized bahne box . [Are you keen ?]

I’ve always found the beauty of a [finboxed] single fin is …

you can make it as loose or tight as you want your surfing to be , and the waves , template , and fin’s positioning will permit .

cheers
