I hope my time here has been beneficial to most . It’s mostly been fun , and very informative , visiting and reading here .
Now it’s time for me to work more , surf more , and sit indoors in front of a screen stiffening up , LESS.

Yes ben your time here has been benificial to me as it has to others, I feel we will miss the nostalgia and humour of your posts and must say meeting you in person stays in the memory bank forever.

At last I have convinced Ben it was time for him to taste some real waves, hot chicks, fine wine, “piments d’Espelette”, climbing the Rhune mountain by night to watch the sun rise at 5:00 AM, having breakfast in a “venta” at the top and getting back to the coast in time for early morning glass.
I’m meeting him at Biarritz airport tonight.
Maybe I’ll let him play with the computer from time to time. We’ll see.

I’m suffering as if a good friend just said that he’s going to live abroad. I’m far from waves about 1 year and Swaylock’s make myself keep thinking about surfing all the time. Well, you are a major part of this imaginary and important “family” I’ve found here, Chip. Your absence will be noticed. By the way, I seize this moment to tell you that you have been a major influence about re-thinking my relationship with surfing, your unusual boards and your appearently careless and “unprejudiced” way to build your boards have inspired me to do my own (under construction, inspired by Swaylock’s and your Stubbie), my way, without much care about the other peoples eyes or opinions, just do it my way.
I will miss your always present word in every thread, your oportune askings (“…what about the board’s dimensions, please?”), and the photos especially the ones of Simon’s quiver (that Kewarra Jet Bottom was bought by AUS Surfresearch, wasn’t it?), the everlasting fins discussion, et cetera…
So, my virtual pal, God bless you, be very happy, catch tons of good waves and come back soon, if it’s possible, thanks for your contribution, it was (is) very important to me.

The only reason you should be taking a break is because you’ve got to take more pictures! I know that swaylocks is impedding on your picture taking but when you do come back (hopefully in a day or two) you’ll bombard us with your photos and stories of your adventures. I’ll sure miss your posts, pics, and humurous innuendos. Oh and don’t worry, the moderators won’t tell anyone that you and rubberlove have the same IP address

I think the mental image of you getting stiff in front of the of the computer screen, has mentaly scared me for life. I’m glad you’ll be getting out more, I was worried you might go blind.

I understand that life rolls on and I do hope you find happiness in whatever you chose to do with your time. I’ll definitely miss your humor and neverending questions about board dims. Your picture database is unreal and has supplied us with many fond memories.
