I glassed the deck of my board (taped off) today by glassing it clear, quickly followed by 3 pigments in a small amount of catalyzed resin (in three small cups) applied seperately by pouring them onto the deck in a couple lines and circles. I then sqeegeed the lines. My problem came in not getting as much of the seperate pigment ‘swirls’ coming out, the squeeging (even these small amounts of resin) seemed to blend them together too much. How do I get the nice bright seperate colors to come out without oversqeeging?
i’m not too sure of this…but maybe thin the tinted resin a little so that it pours on and lies smooth…just a suggestion…

cdb, thank you. One clarification; should I still add a little catalyzed resin to thin out the pigments, then pour them on first, followed by the clear batch glassed in a normal fashion? Should I wait for the colors to go off before the clear resin is poured on and sqeegeed out (they may run together otherwise)? Thanks a lot.

Thanks a lot. 2-4 ozs of resin for each color and lightly catylize and then apply the clear lamination as quickly as you can definatly don’t let them dry first ----good luck also some 60s guitar music also helps set the mood !
