tips on unlimited class paddleboard

anyone have any tips on shaping a 16’ prone paddleboard?? i looking for ,most specifically, info on rocker and bottom shape. ive looked at joe barks page and have been looking at eatons site as well and think i have a pretty good grasp on it. 16’x19"-20" x 7" . it going to be primarily a flat water board, just something to put some miles on , downwind chop around here is pretty small as well.

thanks in advance

got your blank yet? If you are East coast there is a hardware store in Wilmington NC that sells a #1 16foot X 2ft X 1ft billet of EPS for $78. I have been useing their #2 which cost twice that and has to be ordered. I am going make a 13 foot board for surfing with some of their #1. inspired by 12 ft Frye that friend has.

yeah, its the same deal, 16 foot piece of #2 eps

What the name of the hardware store and where is in located, Im from southport so its only 30min ride.

Thanks.

i actually got mine from carpenter foam in pennsylvania right from the factory. you need a resale license though. but the sizes are unlimited, HUGE chunks of foam in there.

the block i got was 16’x4’x26" i got a lot of blanks out of that thing.

For the guy in Southport.

The #1 foam in Wilmington NC is at Craft American Hardware & Supply 7002 Wrightsville av Wilm. They sell it for dock foam and and they buy it by the truck load. last I checked the 16x2x1 was $78 Also you can get 8X2x1 for $39.

I just bought an 8ft piece of #1 that I haven’t cut into yet. The #2 billets that they ordered for me couple of years ago have have been great stuff to work with.
