Tissue paper

After looking high and low and not being able to find rice paper suitable for making laminates i tried tissue paper. You know the kind that you use to wrap christmas presents in. Its kinda thin so I had to maker sure it was taped really flat before i sent it through my HP printer but it printed fine and when i laminated it I had no problems. Anyone else try this?

jason where are you, if you want ricepaper i can give you leads or just sell you some. Tisue does work fine, but wont hold as much ink. http://www.surfboardglassing.com

You can find the logo paper/ rice paper and all your other board building needs at www.foamez.com. Shipping is no problem or if your in the Southern California area come on down. Good luck. http://www.foamez.com

hi Jason, I also tried the paper. It works on white boards. It is visible on darker boards. http://www.gunar.be

Is Rice paper available in oz.? A4 size.?

you can order laminate paper from the surf source in jacksonville, fla (888)647-6991. they sell it 8x10 (at least they used to) or you can order a full sheet that’s like 24x32 or so and cut to size.

Im in Hawaii. None of the art stores here have rice paper. The one that i did find had a really rough surface not suitable for printing through a printer.

JASON TRY HOPACO BEHIND CUUTER FORD … THEY SELL RICE PAPER IN A TABLET 8 1/2 X 11 . I USE IT AND IT WORK`S JUST FINE . ALOHA , KALA

Howzit Kala, That sounds like a good way to buy it. I buy by the roll 11" by approx. 60’,but not having to cut and press would make it a lot easier. How many sheets and how much do you pay. I’ll stop by the Hopaco here on Kauai tomorrow and see if they carry it. Other wise I buy it at an office suppy store for $10 a roll. Aloha, Kokua

Thanks Kala, ill check it out.
