**********to all here at swaylock's....thankyou from the bottom of my heart***********

let me start this message to say hello.

i have learned much here…more so than just surfing or the construction of the craft.

my paths in life are changing…you could say a calling of the guards.

just recently, my life passed thru a threshold in time/space,and has shown me my true destiny.

let me add: i’ve never been healthier, mentally, physically, spiritually, in any one time in my life.

i also believe i am planing on a higher level than before.

a plane un …imageable…until now…bearing free.

i have a mountain of tasks to set forth and therefore i may not have much time to play…like i have in the past.

this equals to: surfing, board building, sitting in from of my magic screen here and interacting with you fine people.

let me also apologize for any short falls that have come from my interactions here or lack of interactions.

i have at least one more board to build, and i promise you it will be nothing like you have ever seen before.

heck,i have the prototype here… finished,and ridden.

i will try and get one more good day on her…

then i plan on donated it to the shf…friday or somewhere in that date and time.

lastly,

my board label from now on will be this.

…parallel universe…

thank you for being my friends.

may he watch over you… all…with miamastha.

Hey Herb,

Thank you for all your positive input and humor.  Good luck finding what your looking for on your new path.  Mike

Thanks for all you’ve done Herb. My brother has Superchargers from you. I hope you have the time to check in once in a while and let us know what you’re cooking up. That last setup with the fins near the stringer was pretty interesting.

Aloha, a hui hou!

hey rooster,and sharky,

my final goal(after i have completed my master’s tasks for him)…

i have been invited… to go to thailand, and enter the priesthood  …and to live…in a place that is very sacred…a beach.

if you look…and you can’t find me anywhere…that’s where i will be.

in this world or the next…that is my promise.

Transcendence

This is why I love Swaylocks

Thank you Herb

you will be missed Herb

so it’s twilight.

WE are sitting

on the orange oily glass

of a summer’s night.

brushed supplex hangs

are the apparel decolage

kinda mustard green

the zooming camera

stops short of a close-up

the water wrinkles up in an

isolated area arround us

we are a small group of loosely

integrated comrads

the wrinkling subsides

as quickly as it arrived

a closeup of gooosebumps

on a random tanned shoulder

a close up of an eye taking left

stopping in a gaze left

the camera follows the take

to a herb full face turning west

toward the sunset…

Laying down ,one paddle take off

we watch as THE HERB takes the drop

and disapears behind a wave not yet broken

the small group watches anticipating

a spray?

a rising wake as the wave shoulders off

and the view of a raised foot appears above the unbroken shoulder of a wave peeling down the long point

then the prone body appears for just a moment and then effortlessly the body rises like a slow motion

cheetah at full race to a dynamic stance

and apparently freefalls behind a  curtain

of translucent green water riffling an apparent

inside section of challenge,we blink with the belief

that the lad has indeed gotten seriously locked in.

Although the group of comrades left on the peak

waiting has turned their heads to watch

for the next waves, the Belief that the previously

chosen set wave is appropriately ridden beyond

critique to a relavent conclusion…

In the words of the great Zen Master Pee Wee Herman: "Micka licka humm, micka licka hiney ho."

I've loved you from afar.  I wish you happiness and contentment and peace on your journey.  My heart is always with you.

Chok dee gup tung dern tee kuhn luuk lao lao chee wit mai kup”.

Translated- Good luck with your chosen new path in life.

Careful you stay away from certain places on the West coast in summer as you may be tempted into the water and the monks robes are very difficult to bodysurf in.

If you’re still there in a few years I may see you there when the family and I move back for a more peaceful existence too.

We will be looking at somewhere near Trang in the South.

best wishes and what Ambrose said.

Mike

And the sticks you made me are always close at hand. In case I need them or to just bang out a few of the kinks on the bag.  Mike

Herb,

It has been a privilege getting to know you. The boys love their skateboards! Hopefully our paths will cross in the future. Take care!
