to lovinlife ... re : missile / rocket art board

hi mate !

  as promised ...

this is 'Sabs' ,  and his son , many years ago now , displaying mike's awesome workmanship . [this was taken with an old 1.7mp digital I was given YEARS ago , so apologies for the poorish 'clarity' , but hopefully you get the general picture / idea , anyway ?]

the rocket and the planets were wood [?inlay?] ...the board vac-bagged eps

mike is a reaaallly good bloke ...

I hope he still frequents here ?  because he illingly shared his tuff with hicksy and I when he was in perth years ago .

I think he moved to n.z. , then maybe the sunshine coast after that , from memory ?

  anyways , if you're here , Mike ?

love to hear from you and especially info on how you did this great board for your son ...

  stoked !!

  cheers

[and , here's a  couple of other boards he brought around one day ...the boards feature  his own vacuum bagged fins too, by the way ...]

here he is again , this time Mike is doing the nev impersonation ,  illustrating how to turn a thruster into a flat finless alaia , when you get sick of ripping .  [mind you the fins could maybe get a bit painful /  cut you an extra ...er.... "buttcrack" , when paddling ?]

[ p.s. -  I jest , for those unable to sense humour / laugh]

"   because he illingly shared his tuff with hicksy and I when he was in perth years ago . "

oops unintentional humour this time ?!

[ I need to proof read new subject posts ...can't go back and edit them for some reason ?]

he was actually very well at the time ,

 and

"....WILLINGLY shared his STUFF" , etc ...

His craftsmanship is superb. Thanks for sharing all the pics and stories.   Looking forward to tstarting my artwork.

....you're very welcome , mate !

I can't wait to see the finished result !

I'll try contacting Mike , to see what he is up to , and if he still comes here ?

I hope he will make it back to this side of the country at some stage in the future , as I'd love to catch up with him and his family , and hear what he's been up to , and check out the boards and fins he's made , in the many YEEEARRRSSSS since we last met ....

  cheers
