Just read the retrospective. Didn’t know that you were a LI boy. And here I am telling you where to surf on LI. I was delighted in knowing that you considered, even for a fleeting moment bagging the gathering to surf some solid hurricane swell. Such loyalty. Anyway, isabel is looking very intruiging right now. She seems to be playing cat and mouse with the forecasters. Basically as of 1pm on Monday, they are saying anywhere from uter Banks to LI for landfall. having lived on the beach in NJ for the last 13 years, there has yet to be a storm that has posesd greater threat than isabell. I was in the waterthis morning and it seemed like we were already seeing some log period South swell here in Monmouth County NJ. My guess is that if you got to town before Friday (airports might be an issue), you could more or less pick your spot for the next 2-3 days and have some potentially epic surf. Long Beach and Rocckaway were firing, a little bit smaller than jersey or RI, but super clean and well lined up. Hope you make it back home!!! Drew
