Hi Ben, sorry it’s been a while.

Yer the weather is pretty crappy right now, and it gets dark early, still have a few projects in the wings, but money for foam it a bit tight till new years.

Been focusing on my repair work over the last few weeks, few dings and a cracked fin box that came through the work shop.

I took and failed my driving test a couple of weeks back, so most my spare cash is going towards that at the momment.

but am working on a few more tools and the templates for mu next board and searching aroung for materials and insperation for the one after that, (a girl board for the mrs)

Hellooooo thaaarre Chips. England is always crawlin with aliens and kidnappers this time o year. You just can’t avoid em. Been trying to get Timmy boy’s board finished, not far off now though, not like he’ll need it before he returns to Oz as he’s a big nesh woman and won’t surf in the cold. (says he who wears a 5mm suit, boots and gloves in July).

Chip, i dont wanna start a war but maybe they’ve been watching the cricket, hence the silence. 2nd test starts today, should be good. I think england will fight back, just not too hard ok? haha. Should be some good cricket anyway.

Right ho Ben, down here in west Cornwall the surf has been really good this autumn. Pumped for September and a lot of October then a bit of a gap and now it’s been huge on the facing beaches and pumping at more sheltered spots for a while. Mostly in the head high to double overhead range sometimes bigger. It’s been a warm autumn, water still 14*C air similar. It’s pretty crowded here these days but you can get quiter sessions with luck and stealth. I’ve been mostly riding a 6’1" or 6’3" thruster and having a play with a 6’3" Mckee style quad ,(fin fun). The water at most spots is pretty clean now the holiday makers have buggered off. I’ve heard that the east coast has had some epic waves too this autumn, they have some great reefs and points up there.

Hi Ben

Been away in Florence on a tour of the local dens…interesting place.

Surf is going MASSIVE this weekend, forecast is 35ft swells off Ireland, 24ft on North Coast of Devon for Tuesday morning with 45mph winds. Coincides with full moon, so am expecting a nice surge up the channel, possibly up to a meter which with the flood conditions in the river could give us a very good rideable wave Tuesday morning.

Think the tow-in boys will be going for broke on Saturday and Tuesday, think Zorba’s reef, Cribbar and maybe even Oysters will all be going off. See the Lola prediction on Surfline. Wouldn’t be surprised if the Oddessy crew and others aren’t already in the air heading this way. My friend Scotty was all over the press after last months trip to Eileens off the Cliffs of Mohar.

As for shaping, several projects in the pipeline, just trying to get the workshop cleaned so can get them started. Dark at 4pm now, so long nights…
