Not pub, local surf beach. Here’s how Piha, Auckland, New Zealand looked today, 15th Febuary 2008. More onshore crap. Anyone do any better?
Perfect 2 foot and offshore, 3 out.
boredbumps
3-4’ and rising from the se, light southerly wind
No one else was out because the bigger sets were breaking on the outer reef and washing through. But the inside in-betweeners were 3-4’ overhead & glassy. I took some beatings but had it all to myself all morning. These post surf pics taken about 2 hours ago.
Your frickin’ killing me! The central coast never looks that good. Even when it does get good the water is freezing.
Those are some of the nicest waves I’ve ever seen!
Chest to head high, bit full coz of the tide, but holding up well, light offshore, glassy fun waves. Me and my mate and two locals i almost always surf with ( we paddled out in darkness today, again, bloody clouds wont go away!!! ). Me and my twin keel havin some serious fun, just like the last 3 days at the same spot with the same blokes. Life is good. Been some good waves for a while, been having some really fun surfs.
Lyall Bay 1/2 foot dribble, couple of foot by tomorrow n offshore
here it is
Meanwhile other coast is offshore
yesterday was 4-5 with 20 mph offshores
During the drop it approached whiteout conditions but whern you stood up and squinted you could see pretty well.
This is Del Mar this morning. An early meeting kept me out of the water, but tomorrow looks like it will be bigger.
jan juc/ bird rock . not the best looking…
im going fly fishing!..
This is what Guéthary looked like today:
Yeah, right: flat as a pancake…
hahahahahaha
Great shot!
Sorry I don’t have a pic of today but during the lunch hour it was head high sets with light sideshore winds and looooowwww tide. Not epic, not bad, you could say “FUN”.
My shorts still wet from this mornings session, here’s a shot I took after I came in. Dropped by almost half from dawn, but still pretty solid at 1030.
Still 2 foot and perfect, lighter wind this morning so I went out and tried my SUPA with a larger fin on my forehand rail, works great. The cutback side has a much smaller one with an 11" centre fin.
