pools, bowls , pipes . Especially full pipes . Just don’t seem to see them in the handrail sliding tricky kickflip flippy skate movies of today . And , yet , there are skateparks with full pipes in them . (Sometimes they are even in “the mags” !)

I plan on putting these and other vids on disk.

Hell yeah- ‘Fruit’ and ‘Northwest’ are both fantastic films- ‘NW’ sort of documents the park building boom up there in OR/WA and there’s cement to make you drool. ‘Fruit’ is great pool skating and I hope Herb’s Salton project sees the light of day. When my girl wants to go on a bird watching trip I always push for the Sea if she’s wanting inland and throw a couple o’decks in the back of the car. The place is insane visually, terrain-wise and bird wise. Red Hill Marina is what much of the world will look like if our current environmental destruction continues.

Some look at the SS as the past gone wrong,and yes it is…Some of us look at it as the future of our world if we don’t do something,anything.
If you’ve never seen this area of California before,it reminds me of the movie ,“The Road Warrior”.
BTW…if you’ve never been to the Salton Sea,my best information to you is to not come here.It is inhospitable/hot as hell or cold as dead.It’s smells really bad at times because of all the decay,not even a fresh Decay smell. Like Steve Alba Says,more like old rotten flesh that has seeped into the ground.The salts added to the sea from the fertilizer factories of the past has created basically HELL ON EARTH !
It was this resort paradise in the socal desert for some 75 years(since 1905/levy breach).But in the last 30yrs it’s decline has been horrible,a real life aposity.You’d be lucky to find a gas station open here.
A good place for a Ronin/Warrior to start .Herb
ps…It’s making a comeback…with help …it will thrive again.
