of course, south of trigg point! i forget that it’s a point.
I remember when it used to be an island!! back in the early 70s…water used to flow around the back of the rocks…

Quote:sorry dude late call at 11.30 to hit the water with the work crew… yep on the hws fish. only board i have ridden for the last 7 months… how was this morning???
swell looks to have dropped a heap
yeah
see “inline at fun city” thread
it looked better when we first got there , shapewise [but pre school crew were on it .]
When they left , then Paz, Ant , and I got a few.
My mate Wade said scarbs was smaller and fatter and he didn’t get many …less crowded than yesterday apparently , but not as " good" [??] …he likes pulling into big closeouts , evidently ?!
…so Shane , did you mean you are hitting it TODAY at 11.30, or were you referring to yesterday ?
It’s high tide at 10.15am , on the full moon today , so early [7] or late [3 onwards] was / is probably the call . It was , I guess , more in the chest-high range today , with head high “bombs” at scarbs every 20 or so minutes , Wade reckoned …that was at 8-10am , for him , anyway …
cheers mate !
ben
p.s. - how did your ‘h.w.s.’ fish handle the late , dredgy drops yesterday ??
Today in southern California.

ben
…so glad you’ve still got your cone-wearing avatar , mate !!
thought it was flat
thought it was onshore
thought it would be crowded [saturday morning usually is here]
took the 9’ mal “just in case”
2 1/2 hours later …
…surfed out , glowing , happy , satisfied .
Just a neighbour and I and a couple of random boogers floating up and down in the rip .
paddle out catch a wave
paddle out catch a wave
again and again
surfing is simple .
surfing is good
surfing is a gift [as is good health]
… may we never take it for granted , lose sight of that fact , or over-complicate the act of riding a wave.
cheers
ben
I love rainy days …people don’t go surfing [I guess they don’t want to get wet eh ?]

…you’re doing WHAAAT now ??
here’s some more viagra for ya , brandon !
nice shotz ben!
that was a 10/10 day for perth. probably the best I’ve seen it in my 2 years here, in terms of size and shape. seen it bigger, but never as clean and makeable. here’s hoping for more days like this!
My first day in Perth it was nearly dusk and i was out just a bit north of brighton… i caught a smaller wave then a set of kirra like 6’ easy perfect bomb long righthanders came from nowhere… 8 wave set noone on them…missed them all from taking the first waves… and they were really good waves.
talk about hitting it at the right time… the one afternoon ever that the wind isnt on to it.
i was stoked… and i didnt even have to worry about dinging my board… i was riding my sunova. yeew~
ofcourse the next morning was half that size but still great fun with all of you. chip, ian and paz the next day. great surf.
Hey Chips!
maybe i should start living in Oz too love those waves!!!
the waves are nice here too at the moment, so after work i’m going to grab my handboard and fins and pedal to the beach on my bike. Can’t wait really… (AAAAAAAAAARGH)
thanks for the pics! THink i’ll take my camera too
