I posted this question “the bigger the fin, the less you can toe” a while back and got a few interesting replies (esp one from blakestah) but none that actually answered the question.
Well - this was before I was using 4wfs fins…
I’ve recently tried to answer my own question by adjusting toe in with fins with a base length of 4 5/8" and a different set b.l. 4 1/2".
My findings are I guess subjective but I definitely felt the brakes rubbing with less toe in on the longer bl fins. So - I think the answer to my question is yes… you can toe smaller fins in to a greater angle before extreme turbulence begind to affect your ride.
Anyone else tried this experiment ?
