Tommy Moss, info and where to find?

Hey Floridians,

So I rode this magic high performance longboard this weekend by Tommy Moss and am in love with it, however, like most things it must go back to it’s rightful owner.

The board is exceptional and I’d love to get one, however, finding info on this guy is hard, let alone where to buy one. Anyone got any info?

Tommy Moss is in Oceanside, CA now. He is running the Takayama factory. You can reach him at (760) 722 5718.

His last name is Maus. As pointed out above, he is now out ot Takayama. Before that, he was at Ricky Carroll’s factory in Florida doing the east Coast Taks, Hawaiian Style, his own T.Maus boards, and I think Driftwood. I’ve owned about 4 of his boards and currently have a 9’8 Hawaiian Style volan noserider and a 6’10 T.Maus single. Great boards.

Spelling correctly always helps, thanks for the info. I heard about the Donald T. Move, but wasn’t sure if it happened yet. I’ll have to give him a ring and go from there.

But yes, amazing board.

Oh, apparently the other thing is that he is way too busy to anything other than the Takayama models right now. But things may have changed…

the past three years have been all about boards from Maus in my group of friends

Yeah I would imagine so, I’m really hoping that he can put in me contact with someone whos maybe got a few of his shapes still in stock or something.

I’m grasping at straws I know, but it’s worth a shot.

I bought a used “beater board” that I was going to use to learn repairs on (split nose and tail, cracks on the rails, dings, de-lams, it had it all baby) and then give to a friend to learn on. After fixing it up and riding it, I deceided to hang on to it. It’s a sweet ride! It’s 9’1" , 2+1 (glass on side bites) and it supposedly belonged to a pro (which would explain the damage, seems to be a light glass job!). I did a T. Maus search on the net and couldn’t find any info on it either. Still my “pass around” board but I like to ride it too!

I picked up a used T. Maus Driftwood 9’1" at Balsa Bill’s last year. Awesome board. My all time favorite.

Bill might have something else, perhaps a T. Maus shaped Channin.
