Hi guys. i am currently doing seniour woodwork at school and for my mojour work i am planning to make a 16’ or so toothpick. Ino that i cant start on it untill term 4. but i want to try and fing as much info as i can before i start so i can make sure i really want to do it.

Only problem is that i can not fimd anything on plans all i can find is a retoration of a 16’ bill walace.

So if anybody has any plans or knows someone who has some could you let me know as it would be verry helpful.

Thanks…

can you send photos of the 16 bill walace

Hi

Grab yourself a copy of the July 1937 issue of Popular Mechanics, should be able to find it in you local newsagent if they keep back copies

or you could PM with your email address and I will email you a scan of the article By the great Tom Blake.

Here’s a pic of a 18 footer I have, the Blake plan is for a 14 footer.

Cheers

Henry

there is a guy that sells direct copies of original plans for 10ft okanuies.

I bought a vintage mal off him last year and he was nice enough to give me a set, they are $50, A3 size, include templates for the ribs, + basic instructions.

here is a pic of a 16ft Bill Wallace I restored if that helps.

could you send me that article of popular mechanics Iam looking after That since a few months I i will send pics of the toothpics I make as soon as my usual computer is repaired i did the plans after seeing cheasapeake light craft site .I make my hollows the same way they make their kayaks.
