And the small person is me. Found old Paul Gross thread he gives 7’ x 16" x 21.5" x 15" as basic start point (wider nose for designated point wave driver). I am a bit concerned about my size 7 feet and 5’3" height lacking leverage with my 130 pounds. Never have ridden a truely “round bottom” board. All hulls I’ve had were either narrow triplane (18.5") round pin or really more vee bottom (belly to flat to vee to flat) with full circle round tail. The latter mostly felt pretty stiff at speed until I got one with closer to a 14 inch tail. BUT they had hard hard resin edge for last couple feet and I softened the edge on that one and used a smaller based fin too. Plus all that was nearly 30 years ago.
So the question: any suggested dimensions for someone my size for a actual hull hull w/ lots of round underneath etc? Those PG dims look ok?
(I thought those youtube clips of Gothic Dolphin looked a bit er “plattery” like the board was too flat and wide. Maybe that was the bottom configuration? or the way it was being ridden? Seemed to go down the line fine but not want to change direction.)
I’m thinking pretty soon all I’ll need is a blank.
