Tried New Polishing Compound

Hot coated and glossed a piece of plywood with brown pigment, sanded with 400 to 600 and used these 2 products. Parko Fast Cut rubbing compound then Parko 1250 compound and you can see the results, much better than the 3m stuff I was using and each quart was 12 bucks and you don’t need a lot. After trying these I purchased 3 more compounds which are much glossier than this. Made here in Detroit, I ordered gallons this time, only 27 bucks per.Works excellent on gel coats, cars and metal

Looks like great results…I like that it is a domestically made product. Do they have a website for mail order?

Hi - Are the other (glossier) compounds also Parko products?

this is all I could find on them,no prices…still kinda in the stone age it appears.

Hi John

What I used is the Fast Cut which is the coarses compound they have and it works great after sanding to 600. Then I used the 1250 which you see in the reflection photo. The other 3 products I ordered are the 1750, 2500 and Showroom Finish. I posted the chart with all the products and finish. I talked with the East Coast rep and he steered me to the right products. You order by phone and ask for Delores, she takes the orders, they keep the cost down by ordering direct from them.$12.00 quart, $27.00 gallon, $55.00 for 5 gallons. I’ve polished 3 boards and they turned out perfect, watch your pinlines with the Fast Cut, My buddy wasn’t paying attention and he compounded off parts of the pinlines. Hope this helps

Tom

Damn that looks good. We may need to try that out on epoxy.
