Go with two FU boxes one inch to each side of the stringer at center (or two inches off center). This way, you can be the one with the shortest board with this fin configuration… and we can see if it works as well as the others! You can always put more boxes in closer to the rails… GO FOR IT!
No toe in works when you have some speed in the swells and boardspeed, but maybe not so great for thigh high mush slow surf. The toe in helps initiating tight pivot turns, so better at slower speeds than faster speeds.
At such a short length, the board must be for small waves, but then again, it turns well without any added help of toein or cant.
Where you place the fins depends on how you want the board to turn. Usually the leading edge near the greatest curve in the aft portion of the board, where your back foot is placed.
You didn’t mention your tail width or the size waves you intend to ride. If wider than 16.5" or surf bigger than shoulder high, maybe consider bigger side fins, like 6.5 or 7".
I currently ride my funboard as a twin with two 6.5" G-10 fins and it hold fine up to just overhead.
