Twin Keel - Performance/Kind of wave?

Swayholics, What type of wave do most twin keel boards favor? My understanding is that they are generally fast, down the line type of boards. The fact that some have little rocker suggests head-high and under. Am I correct? I’ve had my eye on a Sunshine twin keel at my local surf shop. Great price on the thing. Looks like a fun board. Thanks for the input!

they will ride as big as you can paddle the little sucker into --and if you can stay on[smile]

a friend of mine rides his in double overhead but high quality beachbreak surf !He say’s on take off the board looks like a postage stamp to land on!His is 5’10" an he is 6ft 180lbsbut super fit.You have to be very fit to paddle one into good size surf .

At first glance I would think they would be pretty easy to paddle in large or small surf based on the thickness.

Have you been to the kanegarden.com site? They say with the fish tail design it can handle about any size you can paddle into. They have some interesting fish varieties. I currently ride a 7’ G&S Magic Fish and am thinking about going smaller on one of their twin keels once I can get some $$! http://www.kanegarden.com
