Where can I find glass on twinzer fins in San Diego (or Orange County)? Where can I have some custom made if I can’t find ones the shape I like?
Where can I find glass on twinzer fins in San Diego (or Orange County)? > Where can I have some custom made if I can’t find ones the shape I like? Mister Twinzer, Glass-on’s are much easier to make than box fins. I’m sure there are lots of Surfshops down in your area, if you want to stay local, that’ll make you somethin. If want to shop around The places up here in Santa Cruz are Fiberglass Santa Cruz for ready made fins. Rainbow fin company is a good bet for glass-ons too, though I don’t know if they’ll sell to you direct. I you want to expore custom fins contact me if you want to. There aren’t many custom fin manufacturers that I know about. I can make you something if you want me to but do turn over all the stones before you decide what you really want. There are lots of opininons out there, it goes without saying some are good, some bad. Mahalo, Rich

I’ll keep you in mind if all else fails…I’m certain I won’t find ready-made fins like the ones I have. Maybe I could trace mine out and send that to you to have a set made…most guys are over the twinzer down here but I think they’ve screwed up the fin setup one way or another…joe

Everyboard wants something a little different to make it suit the conditions and the surfer. Twinzers have there place. I have my own opinion about where they work best. Some guys I know won’t surf anything else and they’ve been waterman for over 30 years. Get over what doesn’t work and then go for it. Mahalo, Rich
You can also try Beatty Products in Santa Barbara. Ask for Mike 805 965 3180. He has 4 or 5 fin templates for twins and twinzers. They are fiberglass, and made for Red-X boxes. He also hand makes trailers out of FCS fins using a single plug. Old FCS plastic fins are a great way to do some experimenting at home on the trailers.
