Ok Greg, I know you’re workin’ at it as fast as you can, but faster man, faster! How far away is the technology for reasonably priced U.V. Cure Epoxy so we can start kicking ass with our custom shapes without having to worring about the resin going off too fast or to slow. This temperature issue with epoxy is the bug in the wax buddy. We’ll all know how great it is to work in a artificially lit glassing room, have all the time we want to wet the cloth out and then put the stick in the U.V. chamber. WaLa – perfect lam-work everytime! Come on guy get on the stick you’re doggin’ it! Gone Surfin’, Rich
Hi, As I know, this stuff is really really expensive, retail price cost around US$100.00 a litre. Regards, Crabie
Fiberglasssupply.com offers a UV cure epoxy by Solarez. Small quantities only it seems. don’t know if, or how, this epoxy compares to RR epoxy… It will be interesting to see if these can work as well as the UV cured Poly resins… that I love.
The ones i’ve seen leave much to be desired. That doesn’t mean it’s not possible and I’ll be putting in some time on it next month. I suspect we could have something by fall.
We wait. and if you need guinea pigs to test the product… I think you don’t need to look further than Swaylocks.
I knew you’d be there with the right answer Greg! Gone Surfin’, Rich
