Ughh, 3 boards 2 years, my wife is gonna kill me!

I just started my 3rd board today. Got the outline cut and am pretty psyched on the design idea.

I’m going for something like the dreaded “Dumpster Diver” but thought I would do something more ascetically pleasing and more functional for an everyday kinda guy like myself.

5’10"x19 7/8 x 2 3/8

Instead of the wide tail I thought I’d do a hip at 12" and cut the tail in and add a swallow.

The big question is do I go quad or stick to the thruster? And, how do I keep the wife happy while the two babies run her tired while I’m skinning this beast?

My wife just shakes her head now, you have to find some time to trade with her for something she likes to do.

On the board just add more  fin boxes.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6xLsRI7-hBs

The bachelor finale was on last night.  Wife was distracted… prime surfboard time.

Here are some updated pics. I’ve still gotta blend the rail bands, add the swallow, and finish sand. I’m really happy with the way this thing is turning out. Hopefully get it in the water in time for a nice hurricane groundswell.[img_assist|nid=1052389|title=board #3 update|desc=|link=none|align=left|width=640|height=480][img_assist|nid=1052390|title=board #3 update|desc=|link=none|align=left|width=480|height=640]

Still a 5’10x 2 3/8x 19 7/8. Will have a swallow tail when all is said and done and may go with a quad. I don’t know. Suggestions?

i second Lavarat's suggestion on fin count

Tell her it will shut you up for five minutes…

I have three boards stuffed in my wife’s side of the closet…three boards hidden in the back of her car and three more boards stacked on the washer and dryer.

remind your wife about the virtues of relativity!

Shaping is done! Gotta spackle since it’s eps. I really like the shape and I think this thing is gonna fly. Went with a nice concave almost all the way through extending off the tail with a slight vee in the tail also.

Really psyched to get this thing glassed and done.

Oh, and going with a quad.[img_assist|nid=1052434|title=board #3 update|desc=|link=none|align=left|width=640|height=480][img_assist|nid=1052435|title=board #3 update|desc=|link=none|align=left|width=480|height=640][img_assist|nid=1052436|title=board #3 update|desc=|link=none|align=left|width=640|height=480]
