us blanks???

just read this

www.usblanks.com

Nice…a press release 2 days early

Kind of fitting, as, near as I can figure, Swaylocks “broke” the story on 12/5 before any other website or publication…

I’ve been thinking about posting this, the “A/C (after Clark)” thread sounded appropriate but was about production. So I’m hijacking this advert  I think alot of us here are garage guys/girls (where are you girls? lurking?) crafting boards for ourselves, family and friends for little or no profit. Stoked to be more involved in our passion of surfing by making our own boards. That being said, who needs Clark or anybody else making the blank. It may take a bit more time, but that I’ve got as a garage shaper. Making my own blank has been great. It’s mine! I made it. Brought the big block home, made rocker templates, made my hot wire cutter(s), made my own stringer, split the blank and glued it up. More Involvement…like Bunker kneeling/prone/standing on one wave…

what’s your take?

I didn’t mean for it to seem like an ad

so I’m sorry if it did.

I was browsing the web and saw it.

Thought it was pretty funny being dated March 3.

The “make it yourself spirit” of Sways

and the wealth of knowledge freely

being shared is incredible. People like you

hotwiring blocks of EPS and glueing them

up yourself keep me coming back to check the forum

numerous times a day, every day. Thanks.

didn’t you see the smile and wink

I saw it, but didn’t realize what it was.

I completely agree with everything you said.

I’ve been working on shaping a board from

a stripped old beater for about a month and a half now.

Takin my time. I can’t tell you the satisfaction I

get from it even though all my friends laugh at me.
