veneer without vacuum?

fridge pump free

6mm tubing, plastic and shade cloth from hardware store,

cheap masking tape and sqeeze bottle from dollar store.

valve from the petshop to bleed some of the vacum.

Reliable and very simple and also cheap at $21 nz. Easyer and cheaper than buying lots of clamps and contact glue.

can find it for free. i have been looking for it for last month or so. the thing is in my country when people throw large trash ( like old tv-s, furniture  and fridges) gypsys take them and sell them to scap metal. you cant find a gypsy in my town if you use magnifying glass but when it is large trash day they are everywher. scrap metal is their buisiness. so ill just go and buy one from scrap metal yard. shouldnt be more than 10-20 bucks

Resinhead is pretty much right.  There are other ways but vaccy is the easiest and as inexpensive as any other. T-Flex had some improvements over the years.

  1. Insead of laminating the cloth backing and then letting it kick and then cutting it out, we use spray glue to attach that cloth and then cut it out. That way we wet the cloth during the glue process.  Saves some time … resin … weight.

  2. After we get the board in the bag we take a hard roller (like a wall paper edge roller) and press the edge of the veneer on the deck into the blank so it isn’t a bump.  The vac holds it and when you take it out of the bag later it’s pretty much ready to glass.
