I’m looking for advice on installing a retro fit vent plug in my newly shaped and glassed eps short board. Should I apply resin to the walls of the hole and/or the sides of the vent plug and just press the plug in. Or should I use 5 minute epoxy as I’ve seen other swaylockers use. Only concern I have with that is how well it will seal the plug install.
Also, where would be the best location on the deck to install. I’ve heard the widest cross section of the board, tail of the board, or anywhere basically.
Unfortunately I have to leave my board in the car at work. And it gets too hot for comfort in socal summers even under the shade.
