depends what you mean by all wood.
Hollow wooden with a frame and skins needs a vent.
A chambered balsa baord probably doesn’t, though I’ve not made one myself, I’ve never seen one that had one.
A solid wooden board doesn’t need a vent.
I’ve put vents in boards before, the easiest way is to use a normal brass wood screw with a rubber ‘O’ ring to create a seal.
Of corse you need to have something on the other side for it to screw through and the hole needs to go right down to the the chambers to allow the air through and the internal/external pressure to equallize.
You also need to make sure that all the chambers are linked.
The general idea is to have a sealable water proof hole through the the center to allow you to equalize the pressure. You could use a bolt with a collor or anything, I’ve even herd of people just drilling a hole and filling it with wax.
Hope that helps
