Very short build?

Hello everyone.

I'm just about to embark on my third build so ordered some blanks - and while on the phone to seabase i thought i would ask after any spare knackered bits of blank that I could use to practice with the plainer. They came good and dug out the below offcut, its better than I anticipatd so I might be able to make something usefull out of it.

From what I can tell its the middle of a longboard - its about 22 wide, just under 5ft long, no more than 3in thick and a bit yellowed.

So i'm looking for suggestions as to what I could make from it, I quite fancy makeing a mini sim type thing though dont think i've seen one this short and at about 230lbs i'm not sure it would float me. Maybe a wakesurf or even a skimboard would be more sensible? what do you think?

Round off the nose The tricky part will be to get some nose rocker. But it can be done Now clean up that channel in the tail  two fins and you have your very own version of a min Simmons Care and feeding  of a Mini will be discused in another thread

who needs nose rocker???

I see some yard possum antics in the making

That’s got micro-simmons written all over it!

Keep the deck dead flat tip to tail and roll a belly in the nose area to compensate for lack of nose rocker.

Could be a lot of fun on small mushy days
