Vintage Jacobs - Who shaped this board?

I have a vintage Jacobs 9’3 from circa 1967 that I am trying to sell for my friend who has owned it since 1970. He has come into some hard times so he has to make some extra cash. I am just tring to find out the shaper and estimated worth of this board.

Thanks for any help

Mike

Welcome!

Glad you took the advise, but caution “really think” before. That’s a cool little find and hey '67 ?  Let’s see…

Aloha Matty

No idea about the shaper but it looks nicely foiled. Neat board, I hope it goes to a good home.

That’s a pretty unique mark.  Someone here should have an idea who shaped it…  Could be Lance Carson.  Looks like something he could have shaped(rounded pintail).  Someone here on this site with more knowledge than me and with a better idea of who shaped what when will clarify I’m sure.  Hap, Donald Takayama, Lance and Kenney Tilton.    Saw some great looking longboards shaped by Kenny when I was on Maui.    Lowel

That symbol should be easy to ID by anyone who worked for the label back then. Value would not be very high due to condition. Looks a bit rough. It may fetch a bit more if the shaper can be ID’d and it’s someone that collectors are keen on.

Here’s a different view, turned 90 degrees to make the lettering easier to read.

Just bumping this one up, that distinctive end signature looks familiar to me for some reason but I can’t place it at all.

Any thoughts on value?

With the fluctuations the past couple of years, I have no idea what vintage boards in “rider” condition are going for.

Thanks for the help and the pic flip everyone. Still no luck figuring out who shaped this beauty.
