SMJ was a solid 3-8 faces with tons of water moving I could have used a sled like that today.
Hozit Keith, Now that's a serious looking gun, Do ou really get surf in S.D.that you can use it in. Looks like a nice North Shore Hi.type gun. Aloha,Kokua
maybe one or two days in a good winter… a bit of overkill for this part of the world, but the blank had a gun inside, so there you have it.
Hi Keith, I like that… 8’ 23". I think I’ gonna start doing dat… eh bruddah how big your board stay? six twenny tree brah!
I’m playing with boards with a similar outline, but only from 6-19 up to 6-23. Great for paddling and with that outline it can handle all the wave I ride. Working towards the 1 board quiver for older, shorter, out of shape has beens, or as we call um, Bruddas.
Nice end result, Keith. A substantial amount of re-foiling, eh?
Always good to get the '' bruddah seal of approval'' too.
Always. In fact – primo beer labels are one method… but this one is going to have a can of spam taped up near the nose…
PS I’ve got the main fin box routed, but am planning on widowmaker setup on this… per R. Cones suggestion some time back. Never tried one, so might as well, might as well.
Keith, you do know that more Spam is eaten in Hawaii than anywhere else. Between Primo and Spam, you’ll have the bases covered. You can wear a pair of rice bag jams to complete the whole thing, but it might be kind of funky wearing that over your wetsuit.
One of my friends from Waialua told me that they used to wear their surf shorts over their jeans when they were kids. Who know’s you may start a whole new “retro” fashion trend.
Too bad Bernie and I couldn’t get up there to see all of you.
R. Cone would know...
Massive props on the ''can of spam''.
never had any rice bag jams… had some hand-sewn board shorts from that nice lady in the little shop in Haleiwa - but, I kinda outgrew them.
Looking forward to the next Island Swaylocks get together… sorry it wasn’t this year. soon, though!
maybe my next logo should be “can 'o Spam surfboards” – but I’d probably get sued.
Howzit Keith,Just so happens I have a rice bag and i saw it just the other day. if you have sombody who can makeyou some trunks from it, it's yours my friend. I will dig it out and and wait for your answer.Aloha.Kokua
went with the widowmaker fin set up… DYING to see how it works (note tombstones in pics!)
