after reading all yalls post for the past two mothns i figured you guys would be the best to ask about one of my boards that i inherited. its an old, beat up mini-mal, about 8’6" x 23 made by Oceanside and i believe the model name is Javelyn. shaped by Rice, board number 3626. i was wondering if yall knew anything about the make, approximate date of shaping, and any thing else yall might know about it there a bunch of previous repairs that were done with vinylester resin, and some other big mistakes that i am planning on cutting out and redoing. any tips on that? couldnt get the pictures attached, but ive got them hosted here: http://www.geocities.com/tomcat360/mal.jpg
Yet another Cocoa Beach surfboard manufacturer. I believe they were around from the late 60’s to early seventies. Made high quality products and quite a few of those transition designs.Someone correct me if I am wrong, but I am pretty sure that is Johnny Rice is the shaper. Is that a waveset finger fin I see?

Poor bloke hasn’t even got ant info on the board yet!!!
Don’t laugh too hard about the kangaroos on the beach, we have warning signs on the roads around here and I only live 20 miles from the centre of the city…

I don’t know about the board itself, but my bet for the year would be 1969. (W.A.V.E. Set Fin, no stringer, still those knee-paddling deck patches, volan cloth…)
