Does anybody know what’s up with Walker?
They had a web site one day and poof…
next day it was gone! Site was revamped and

online orders? that’s interesting. Walker was notorious for taking Fax-only, in fact they hardly answered the phone.
Did you notice that Clark Foam still has a site? (albiet Europe)
Yah, Interesting…
(I’m afraid that this reference dates us G,
MaxwellSmart alert!)
My Bennett guys email me usually same
day… & EZ sometimes even phones…
LOL
who wants the biz!
Try Scott at Foam, Fins and Fiberglass. He’s been an authorized Walker dealer since before Clark shut down. He receives regular shipments and can custom order stringers, rocker, etc. for you.
Thanks John,
but I don’t live that far from Wilmington as it
is. Ventura is a bit of a trip.
Also, I mainly want to deal with manufacturers
rather than vendors if I have a choice.
Do any of you have an inside track as to what
is going on? I don’t want to drive over there
and find out that they have shut down or something
else…
I’ve been a loyal supporter since the '70’s…
hey Brian, you could either fax Walker and eagerly await a faxed response,
or,
you could call Scott at FFF and ask when his next Walker shipment is due,
if he responds, “Oh, next wednesday…” then you’re good.
if he retorts, “Tsch!!! Walker?!! Those guys…blah blah blah” then maybe Plan B.
Plan B: Walker made a ton of blanks still in circulation. They were blown in China
and called Excell foam. Revchem has a ton of them for sale cheap.
Called them on Friday, my gal Maria answered on the first ring, she must have caller ID, Love the tight white blouses she wears.
They are in a revamp of how they take orders and process, all of the uncut foam will be going to Green Valley in Oceanside for cutting and gluing.
This has always been a weak area for Walker, they are a relatively small company and correct rockers were often just not that.
But I DON’T have boards delam like the Clark type of formulas do, so I go with the flow and work around the little bumps in the road to be a Walker customer.
An order over the phone can be written up wrong, so FAX that order and it will be in YOUR hand writing to bitch about if it is wrong.
I have gone to the factory to try and pick up foam, but the chances are slim you can get any blanks that were not spoken for already. I went away empty handed.
