Walker Foam

Does anybody know an e-mail address to the Walker Foam company? There site is up and running but the connection to the e-mail server isn’t connected. Thanks.

Tim,

There’s a phone number in the archive here. Search ‘Walker Foam’.

Clark seems to be in more places closer to NY (Florida For examp). Or there is EPS & XPS foam locally at the home stores and also from the Resin Research folks in Fla (I think - better EPS).

Walker - I’m fairly sure - is only distributed from one point in CA. Let us know if they’ll ship to you - their foam intrests me as well - I hear it doesn’t matter as much how much you take off the deck, as compared to Clark foam.

when i last spoke to them, they said they no longer shipped blanks because costs to ship had increased so much. granted, this was several months ago, but it couldn’t hurt to give 'em a call.

hmmm interesting.

Hadn’t heard that. My last shipment was early March.

There are rumblings att Walker of opening up some sort of east coast wahrehouse.

Drew

yeah, i heard the same thing. rumor has it they’re scouting out some warehouse territory in melbourne…which doesn’t make much sense to me seeing as how it puts them in even more direct competition with Clark’s largest east coast distribution center…but whatever. from a distribution standpoint, jacksonville is a far better location for Walker…then maybe expand with a smaller satellite office in west palm and somewhere in the mid-atlantic. but, hey…whatever makes their blanks accessible to me is good enough, i suppose.

Eric

Thanks for the info. I would buy from Greg L but I think he only sells Epoxy Resins which I will buy from him. I didn’t know he sold blanks. I have been in contact with sfoam.com and they can only make 10’-6" EPS blank. I would like to get an 11’. It will be great if RR sells EPS blanks.

I think it was one of my economic classes that stated if you want to open a store and want guaranteed business traffic. Open it next to your competitor. People like to shop be it price or style. Most people would prefer to only walk or drive down the street instead of miles away to compare products. Clark has already established the market. For example. That’s why you see furniture stores up and down the same strip. Bars and restaurants are next to or across the street from each other. It is nice to have choices. It would be nice to have an east coast location that sells EPS blanks too. Hope RR sells them.

the real world has many more variables than are ever considered in a single economic theory…check your PM.
