Just cut this template out from some EPS and wanted to get some feedback as to what fin set up people would go with here. This is my first time building a board by the way so please feel free to critique my work all the input is much welcome. I was really leaning towards a single fin seems it could be fun. I am in north Florida so wave are small and mushy most days but we get our share especially this time of year. So lets hear it Sways!
If the tail width, 12" up from the tail, is more than 15" go with a quad, otherwise make it a thruster…
Do yourself a favor and pull in that bump in the nose a bit. Looks like you have parallel rails through the middle and then it changes to the nose curve. Common beginner templating issue. Try to make the outline a smooth curve with no visable changes in direction. Just a few passes with a hard block and sandpaper or Railrunner tool across that bump on each side and fair it out. You’ll be happier with the final outcome.
Just a suggestion Have fun with it!

Good Advice.
Thanks Brian I did see the bump and plan to fair it out more just cut out the shape today. Plan to fix it tomorrow gonna measure down from the nose starting at 1 inch then 3 and so on to get the width right and true the outline so hopefully that will fix that. The tail is wider than 15 so quad would work, still thinking hard about doing a single fin though. I am so hooked already should have done this a long time ago. I think I'm in trouble here! Thanks for taking a look love this freaking site!
