I heard the other day that watercolor pens can be used on rice paper for logos. My question is: Can watercolor pens be used on foam? I think i have a set of these, but they dont look capable of coloring foam too well. A test run proved i was right… But i think i could mark up a board with them if i had to… Has anybody else tried these pens? Results? I believe my pen set is pretty cheap and old, so that may make a difference in results…?
please excuse me and my computer for the double post…
water color i am not sure of as for the def. but u can use pens on the foam. like paint pens with indian ink in them. get a refillable one. only a couple bucks. as for sharpes, i wrote with one a long time ago to fill in the rest of a logo and i just fixed the board and it ran a little, colors dripped and faded. go to a craftstore and ask for a refillable black paint pen / marker and some indian ink. dk
Poska pens are ideal for writing on the foam, and are waterbased. They come in a variety of different colours and thicknesses. I would suggest contacting Seabase on 01637 875811 for the pens in the UK. Click on the link for contact details. Pani http://www.seabase.ltd.uk/contact.htm
Thanks for the replies, i considered posca, but was looking for a cheaper solution. Sharpies do run a bit, as i put drew on my fins with them. Maybe a clear coat Krylon would work well to prevent this. I’ll try the indian ink solution , good idea. THanks
