Yes, I’m sorry to report that it’s true. I really liked Ronnie and enjoyed surfing with him when I lived there. Here’s a guy who won the ECSC, crafted some boards, did ding repairs and made just enough money to buy food for Rocket with a bit left over for himself. I hope that his stature within the east coast surfing community is never forgotten.
