Noticed Bill Thrailkill’s post regarding the event at Windansea on Sept. 10 and thought I’d post a note to also let you know the San Diego chapter of the National Woodie Club is sponsoring the 26th Annual Wavecrest Event at Moonlight Beach in Encinitas, CA the following weekend of Sept. 17th.
“Wavecrest” is the largest gathering of vintage wood cars in the world. 300 woodies last year and lots of great old boards. Greg Noll was last year’s guest, but lots of the old gang shows up and it’s a great gathering both for us old guys and the young guys who want a taste of the way life used to be up and down the coast.
