Waveset variable Fin

Hi I’m looking for a waveset variable not variset, anyone have one ?

i think i might have one but im not sure

if you could post up a pic of one i should know

but my camera is missing right now so i cant post a pic of the fin i have

Vari set was Fins Unlimited’s first adjustable fin system, which is totally different from the adjustable WAVESET. The WAVESET system was a retrofit that was essentially an insert designed to fit a standard WAVESET box.

Here’s a pic of the fin, installed. The track assembly fit in the standard box, and the fin has screws front and back. This photo shows the channel caps that came with the system, and were the first thing to get lost.

well that looks like the fin i got

i just randomly got the fin only a week ago and was not sure what it was cause there are no markings on it at all

That board looks familiar! That was my buddys Surfboards East that i had to do a bit of work on, loved the resin tint! Defintely was an intersting shape.

thanks for that photo . I think I have sen 'similar' in an old aussie board here , in fact , I think my brother at one stage may have had similar [.... I should be able to check in a few weeks , hopefully , eh ?!]

 

  what year would that ad have been , please ?

 

were these the same people that did the [? 'hollow' ?]  W.A.V.E surfboards , in the 1970s , too ?
