Dont know about the one hes riding but I tried a board from the same brand (weird)....It was a 5'4'' 19,5 x 2,25....Low entry rocker, single to double concave, a litle tail flip. Soft rails. Almost like a high performance shortboard but had the square nose like an wakeboard ..... What I think about these boards is that they make less speed than a normal high performance shorty.....they are obviously great for skate tricks though.
I like speed.....power turns....feel the board cutting water...sprayyyyyyyyy!!!! Clean energy under feet. dont care about crazy flip trip tricks.....
Here in Brazil these kind of boards suits good....mostly beach break close outs, junctions and short waves so the best think you can do is FLY.....

Im with you, power surfing is the way… but on the right waves.
Where I live in bali, when waves get good crowds get insane, so instead of having bad attitude in the waters I prefer to go down the the beach, find my ‘own’ peak and boosting airs and try to do some sk8 tricks.
thats what im really enjoing in the last few years,
at the end, all im looking is having fun.
those boards are peferct!
