WAY OF THE BIRD: Andy Davis and Andrew Kidman at The

Surf Gallery in Laguna Beach

Andy Davis and Andrew Kidman will be on hand at The

Surf Gallery on Saturday, April 16th from 6-10 p.m. to

sign copies of their new book, Way of the Bird. There

will be an exhibition of Andy’s art and Andrew’s

photography, as well as several collaborative pieces

by the two artists.

Andy is best know for his clothing designs for Free

and Byrd. Andrew is writer, photographer, filmmaker

and musician from Australia. His newest film, Glass

Love, is currently touring the California Coast

(www.litmus.com.au).

The Surf Gallery is located at 911 S. Coast Hwy.

Hey Chip,

I bought a copy a while ago direct from consafos on here. He is the publisher I believe.

Great book, definately worth owning. It is my favorite book to read to my 1 yr. old son. It keeps us BOTH entertained.

Some great photos with illustrated characters overlaid over the images. There’s a really cool shot of a chambered balsa gun that you can see the inner workings of.

Great book in my opinion.

I know I shouldn’t plug things here but it’s a great book- Kidman’s photos, Andy’s illustrations and a nice kids surf story. It turned out very nice, is doing well and we may do another ‘Bird’ book in 2006. Also may do the ‘Hydrodynamica’ book mid 2006- that will be really cool.

wow , does thayt mean “hydrodynamic” will finally be released , on dvd, too ?

…I’d love to see the "way of the bird " book .

Andrew Kidman does some really good work , in my opinion .
