I have recently had a John Arnold Wayne Lynch International Involvement surfboard come into my possession and was wondering if anyone could tell anything about this model. It is well beyond repairs, but I would like to shape a replica just because I love single fins.
here in NJ, i worked at the shop that was the regional dealer. there were two major batches, the first were very disc like almost double enders that had big flex fins in them and lots of color, in the 6’ to 6’6" range–similar to the boards in evolution film. the second batch were more like slide slippers, real small and a lot of nose rocker. the logo was very hendricks-like, in fact there is one mounted and framed across the room from me right now, from a ‘found in the junk’ board i really like my Lynch, i had two of them a 6’6" and a 6’4" --big honking single fins that just flew! an interesting back story is that for both shipments (about 40 boards) the padding in the boxes was UGG boots–the original ones from southern Oz , some with no soles----we sold out of them in a flash and had major hassle trying to get more imported( maybe we should tried harder, you think:-)?

There is a bit of info at the above link.
Also if you can get hold of a copy of SURF- O- RAMA "Treasures of Australian surfing" by Murray Walding there is a 2 page spread on Wayne Lynch and John Arnold, and the involvement boards on pages 44 and 45. platty.
