Wayne Rich Is Alive

Wayne Rich is really alive. His high performance longboards are taking over in the Santa Barbara area. On any day at Rincon you’ll see people on his boards screaming past everything in the water. That is of course except for my fish! If ya all want to see the results of someone’s efforts that really has done his homework and paid his dues. Take a close look at one of Wayne’s performance. and I mean performance longboards. I hear that there are some in Huntington, and at the Beach House in Santa Barbara. I’m sure that they are other in Japan, so if you can’t find one in one of these places then just fly on over there and check one out. I hear that they don’t last very long on the show room floor so good luck. Wayne if you ever see this, GLAD YOUR ALIVE … Steve Brom

Wayne if > you ever see this, GLAD YOUR ALIVE … Steve Brom Today I saw the new series in the show room at Clyde Beatty’s retail factory outlet. The Eddie Piper model looked unreal. I think there is some interesting old school / new school creative genius going on in Santa Barbara’s “Funk Zone”. W.R.'s over on Santa Barbara St… Neat shop… lot’s of new boards. Funny that you brought that up.

I’m not sure of the length, we just got the flyer this week.

Wow! Thanks Jim. Can’t wait to get a look at one. From what I just heard about Wayne’s hard work, and dedication to those performance longboards, I’ll bet that, that blank is really sweet. Let us know what you think if you get one before I do. Thanks for all your hard work over the years. Helps bring us all up a notch. Lets keep raising the bar. Steve

Steve Steve, that is evactly what I have been preaching all these years, do a good job and they’ll have you back next week. This has been an extremely trying winter for a lot of the persons in the surfing industry. I’m sure for many it has been the final nail in the coffin, the benifits are better at home depot or the school board. Bill Shrosbee tells me of shapers that he knows with many years under their belts, but a tad shy in the quality or reliability department that are left out in the cold now. They can’t get work in this lean market. Charge a fair price for your work and give the customer the absolute best and you will have more work than you can shake the proverbial stick at. (fair doesn’e mean cheap either)

just want to put my two cents worth in about wayne-o. he’s a true craftsman that spends that extra time on each board. that along with his experience makes for a great product. he’s made it all. can’t wait till summer. you and me wayne, mano mano at the south end. be there!
