Went fish'n today

Today was the first day riding her, and she’s all that and a box of choclates

Met Tenover at 15th early this mornin’ good clean shoulder high hardly a crowd at all

She rides 10x better than my first fish

the rails are a lot less boxy more 70/30 subtle concave in the nose flat down the middle, with a double concave exiting of the swallows.

she’s really really fast, turns on button and has really good energy rettention off the top turns

doesn’t pop out or slide when carving like my first

Yup, that thing flew this morning…Nice job.

Mmmm, nice looking board.

Since I’m about to make a fish, (for the last several weeks, also a paddleboard, but first the 9’4") what dimensions did you use and how tall/heavy are you?

At 6’6" 235 lbs (probably 95th percentile of the guys out) I’m thinking something around 6’10" to 7’2", 21" to 22" wide, and 2.75 thick.

Charlie, I’m 6’2, 220, maybe 91st %ile  My fish is only 5’11" but its 23.5 wide. Just under 3" thick, finished. I think if you start to get too long, you lose the real fishy curves. I’d say go much wider than 21-22. The other thing is rocker. The deck of mine is just about dead flat, the only rocker being what’s taken off the bottom in thickness. While I’d never say it paddles just like a longboard (what fish should, really?), I don’t have any trouble catching & surfing decent waves. Its not a knee-high groveler, but I’ve got longboards for that.

I’m almost 6’ around 190 and as long as you keep the width fat and the thickness fat as well, you shouldn’t have to compromise with a long fish (too many innuendoes)

Nice board,

I plan to make one as my next board but it seams it may be hard to get the outline right any suggestions?

Nice Job. What are the dimensions on that board? Did you make your fins?

Yeah, what ARE the dimensions on that board by the way??

Thanx for the compliments, I’ll have to get back to you on the dimensions

on my last fish I made the fins, I made four fishies prior to this one and making fins for them

is not all together that hard, but time consuming

I bought these for 45 buck’s at Mitch’s and they were worth every penny
