Wetsuit's Inventor Dies

Undersea divers would still be shivering and facing a high risk for hypothermia if it weren’t for Hugh Bradner, inventor of the first wetsuit. Bradner, a renowned physicist and professor emeritus at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography died May 5, 2008, in San Diego after a prolonged illness. He was 92.

Aha! So the key to longevity is wearing neoprene!

We should all be so lucky, altho a long illness is no fun.

if yea make it past 80 the only tragedy is if your death is long and/or painful or if you never did what you wanted to in life.

this guy should be worshiped by surfers and water folk everywhere on the plante!!! statues, stamps , books and that hero worship stuff----God Speed Mr Bradner!!!

I thought you were going to say Jack O’neill. But without this guy I could of been freezing my nuts off…
